CITY & REGIONAL BRAND STORYTELLING & STRATEGY

Content Direction

Specializing in Quality of Life, Places & People

I have worked with over 100 leading government and business organizations to promote their cities, traveling the U.S. for 13 years to experience communities firsthand, developing content strategies and leading creative teams to execute multi-year campaigns.

Together, we attracted new visitors, residents, business investment and talent with strategic messaging and creative storytelling.

As an executive editor, I nurtured multi-year marketing communications contracts with chambers of commerce, destination marketing organizations and economic development groups. Our deliverables included high-quality magazines and optimized website content promoted through the company’s digital brand, Livability.com.

Our team built Livability.com from the ground up, scaling content creation and curating data resources to deliver content showcasing over 10,000 U.S. cities. At its peak, the site attracted more than 11 million visitors annually.

Website Content Development – Economic Development

As a web project manager for an Alabama agency, I collaborated with government agencies and business coalitions to guide and develop website content strategies from start to finish.

Podcast Show Notes – Economic Development

I’ve written podcast show notes for two popular Texas podcasts focused on economic development. I crafted detailed show notes into feature-style articles for Texas Economic Development Connection’s “Gone to Texas” Podcast, which focuses on why CEOs and founders chose to relocate or expand to Texas, hosted by Super Dave Quinn, CEcD of Day One Experts.

I have also distilled several podcasts into show notes for the Getting Neighborly in Fairview podcast, which encourages economic and community development in Fairview, Texas.
